The infrastructure needs a reasonable amount of TLC but it’s a lovely place, with great staff, good beer, fabulous folk music on a Friday evening and a decent size car park. We e stayed many times before when visiting the Centre for Alternative Technology and will stay at the Wynnstay again soon

Lovely people and comfortable room.

Lovely people here in this traditional hotel in the heart of Machynlleth. Just the warm welcome and comfy stay I needed at the start in my holiday. And the Glamorgan Sausage for breakfast was spectacularly tasty!

Excellent hotel

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is an old building and quirky which is a good thing. It was clean and all of the staff were helpful and friendly. Food was excellent in the restaurant and good gluten free options available. Also we were on our motorcycle and the hotel provided secure covered parking while we were there. Would recommend this hotel.

A delightful hotel.

An hotel in the very wonderful old fashioned style. The small touches - friendly welcome;log fires in the dining and reception areas; a real glass in the bathroom instead of a disposable plastic cup; a real room key instead of a card that often doesn't work when staying at other hotels; excellent food with faultless service and a special mention for Rhian whose cheerful smile at breakfast made my days even better!
