Forest Garden home is very central to Monteverde, which is a delightful Costa Rican mountain town. It was slightly tricky to find the first time, but once there, it is very easy to get around. Plenty of parking for 2-3 cars on the private drive.
In the town, the co-op coffee shop was amazing and restaurant/art shop across the street had slightly pricey, but delicious food. The home is also just a 10 minute drive from the Monteverde Cloud Forest park.
We zip lined, hiked the preserve, and went on a coffee tour all nearby.
The house itself was comfortable, but could use a few improvements. TV was great, and we brought our Roku, plugged it in, and streamed our favorite shows in the evenings. However, all the beautiful couches were very hard. There could be a lot more pillows and cushions. As lovely as the tree couches are, trading them for a few more comfortable chairs/couches would be nice. Also, the lighting in the room was a bit awkward and dark. Kitchen seemed to have most things we needed for basic cooking and the refrigerator was full size and worked great. A new sponge would have been nice. Bedrooms were small and basic, but that is fine. The bathroom could be a bit more finished, but everything worked. Perhaps a few extra towels and blankets around would be nice. Washer and dryer worked fine, and soap was provided.
