Inclement weather led to some last minute changes to the already strained itinerary of our California road trip. Having planned to sleep on the beach 30 minutes to the south, we arrived to find it closed by the rangers due to severe high tide. Shower didn’t drain fast enough. So you are ankle deep in water pretty quickly. The door key pads also don’t work quite right. Some touches don’t register and even when they make a tone that they do, for some reason they don’t. The whole kiosk check in process doesn’t run smoothly either. Other than that they’ve done enough to make it look pretty enough for a picture.

Loved the hiking trails at Montana De Oro. Lots of them for may levels from easy walks to strenuous climbs. Awesome views of the ocean from virtually every trailer we were on.

A bit out of the way and quite a walk but so wild and wonderful to see. Tide pools and uplifted rocks. Named "Mountain of Gold" by Spanish sea Captains who thought the hills covered in gold flowers were real gold (spring and early summer). Worth the off the beaten path trip.

I loved this course so much and I'm sure I will visit to play again.
Staff is very professional and friendly, and course is in amazing condition. Above all was the views. Every hole gave a perfect panoramic view of the pacific.
