「Rug was shabby in room and needed a complete cleaning throughout the hotel. I needed to use a cane and the walk was very long from our room to the dining area. No elevator. Wish I had known the layout of hotel so I could have booked a room closer to amenities. Did not use pool. Felt unsafe....leaving the hotel to pack car, there was a homeless man sleeping outside the door. Called front desk, they did address it right away. 「Room was clean. Area was safe and conveniently located next to a Love’s gas station. Staff was friendly and recommended a good restaurant for dinner. The toilet seat was old and worn but everything else was fine. Would stay here again for sure」

「The hotel itself is decent for a quick stay in a rural town. The downside though, is waking up to a live bed bug in the bed. I was mortified. The hotel staff did respond swiftly and professionally. They helped me clothes. I threw out the pajamas I wore that night. Of course my main concern is bringing any home. I’m hoping to get the refund they promised me. Be aware and always check your room for unwanted guest.」

「The property is old, rooms very small, cramped, there were significant stains on chairs and squeaky bed. The fire alarm in the first room would go off every 15 minutes or so and scare us. Hard to relax after a long travel day when that happens. We finally had to repack everything and move to a different room. Price was high for the situation.」

When I went to make hot tea, the hot water decanter was empty. They did refill each item promptly. Other than than breakfast was pretty good. We asked for additional 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels and 2 wash cloths at the front desk. We received 2 bath towels and 9 wash clothes. Yes 9! But overall...

「The parking seemed full and it was only about 15 cars I pulled in to go in and check in but they were too many scary people around my car so I was afraid to get out I called and they said there was plenty of parking across the street. Across the street was a parking garage with a big sign that said enter at your own risk. When I called they acted like I was an idiot well I'm a 62-year-old woman that wasn't about to fight a whole clan of sketchy strange intimidating creatures or whatever you want...

「There are several long term renters. It’s a rough crowd. The lamp by the bed was busted. Water taps switched. Evidence of recent fumigation. It felt like someone had just moved out. I’m fine with less than standard accommodations but I felt like I was likely to be part of a crime scene. My wife warned me not to come home with bedbugs. 「Stayed at a historic double room. The room was not big (TV is small too), but OK since it was expected just as advertized. Would have loved if there's even a tiny table though. Shower was outside and shared, but the room had a bath tub which was good. Wifi worked smoothly and saved us (no Spring coverage around the area). Breakfast was excellent -- so delicious and nice atomosphere. We loved this excellent historic inn.」
