「I lost my license while I was visiting in the area and the front desk staff was willing to watch on local social media for it, even took my number down and was very helpful I was impressed with the breakfast because it was real food The hotel is somewhat outdated, but I would say it fits the town era and fit our deeds perfectly. There was also a walking trail right across from the hotel, which was very nice.」

The breakfasts were the perfect start to the day and generally consisted of a small frittata or 2-egg dish served in a Pyrex ramekin, with a side of freshly baked muffins or cinnamon rolls, and whatever drinks you pre-selected at check-in (coffees and orange juice for us). 「Very nice property! Great location, nice views, very nice room which was very clean especially for a Pet friendly room. They had everything you need in the room. The grounds/gardens are well maintained and pretty. Nicely lit at night. The restaurant/Tavern was excellent; great food, wonderful atmosphere and service. Our server Matt was amazing! The staff was very helpful and friendly. Even our fur babies enjoyed the stay just as much as we did. We will be coming back here for sure!」

「Oh this place is beautiful. The main Lodge is a gorgeous building, full of fascinating books and accessories for sale. (Not to mention the sweetest cats). Stanford has the only indoor pool and hot tub for 100 miles. The restaurant was hot garbage, but Mendocino is chock full of wonderful places to eat.」

「The beds are old and hard. Our backs are killing us this morning. The bedding is not comfortable especially the blankets comforter and pillows. The views are dramatic with sounds of waves breaking. The staff is fantastic. The bar and bartender fabulous. The dining room nice. For breakfast the only eggs available are poached which were perfectly prepared. Dinner was delicious with the exception of the Vietnamese salad. Poorly cut cabbage Plate presentation not at all...

「We stayed in Room 14 which is a cute little cottage. Overall we loved our stay. Some things that stood out were the amazing staff. All so kind and patient. We especially enjoyed booking a room with a hot tub, maybe next time we’ll do a room with the sauna!」
