「Wonderful historic location. Host provided thoughtful extras that we didnt think to bring. Our only suggestion would be if you prefer a softer mattress I would bring a mattress pad.」

「Great place right downtown! Local places to eat and drink, easy access to everything. Bed is super comfy and the coffee provided is amazing! Also a huge plus being pet friendly!」

「The property is a beautiful historic building. It is well appointed and absolutely lovely. The community is charming, and the opportunities for outdoor activities abound. The host was so helpful. The bed was incredibly comfortable. We definitely will stay here again!」

「Expected a stove and kitchen sink for the price.」

「This historic location was an amazing home base for our girl’s trip to NE Iowa. It’s clean and such a unique place to stay. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of room for the four of us. Our favorite part was people watching from the sun room area, although margaritas on the back patio were a close second. :)」

「Good location, a bit noisier than I expected due to trains during the night and some construction. Close to Yellow River Forest, Effigy Mounds and Pikes Peak State Park. Comfortable furniture and bed. Kitchen area includes microwave and small fridge, no sink. Looked like a nice fireplace which I did not use. Shopping, but few restaurants of note on main street; a couple of bars and one gourmet store. Kwik Star right across the street which was convenient. Host was friendly and accessible.」

「Well maintained home. Very clean and had everything we needed. It’s walking distance to shopping, restaurants and bars. Great to sit on the screened in porch, look at the river, enjoy a cup of coffee. We had 10 adults for three days and never felt crowded. Plenty of areas to sit and relax. We will definitely stay here again.」

「This was such an adorable place to stay!」
