「We had never been to this area and the house was the perfect home base to use to explore the area. There’s a lot of beaches and state parks to enjoy on the island and we also explored the area’s other features including Port Townsend and wineries/cideries. The house was beautifully maintained and comfortable and we loved being there and on the water. 」

「The photos don't do justice to the view, especially after dark. It's so cool to watch a cruise ship float by at night and see it all lit up. The general quality of the home is about what you see in the photos. We found the home to be adequately equipped but it seemed odd that there was only one wine glass. 」

「Whidbey House was a lovely property. A real home from home. We really enjoyed our stay, especially the visits from the deer and rabbits. Rick was very responsive with a couple of queries that we had. Freeland was a great base for exploring Whidbey Island, explore off the beaten track a little and you will find some real gems, we can recommend Island Art Glass, for some beautiful glass work. If we were staying in the area again, we would love to return to Whidbey House.」

「Owners were very communicative, easy to work with, and everything worked as they said. College buddy and I used it as a place to crash in between golf rounds at Dungeness, White Horse, and Port Ludlow. Location was quiet, accommodations were comfortable, and it had everything we wanted/needed. 「We just finished our Alaskan cruise and are staying for another week. This house was the perfect place to start our next adventure for my family of 4. I was able to do laundry, cook meals, and explore the area! The host company was extremely responsive and helpful. There were excellent recommendations and so much space (that we needed after being on a cruise ship)! Highly recommend!」
