"This hotel was fantastic, and the service was exceptional. The Maitre-D was so helpful and kind. Everyone couldn't do enough for you. My sister and I can't wait to come back here again. A lovely 5-star hotel with a beautiful pool, delicious restaurants, and the best employees you could ask for."

"This is a lovely hotel in a great location, on a headland overlooking two lovely beaches, the hotel was fairly full during our stay but it never felt crowded or busy and there was always lots of space around the pool and beach areas with plenty of sunbeds. The restaurants are all excellent and well priced and the breakfast which is included is fantastic. (Again we never had to wait for a table and they cope well in busy periods) The staff are all helpful and very helpful, from housekeeping to the waiting and reception teams, all are great. Rooms are really well equipped and we had a lovely view from our 4th floor bedroom. Its safe and easy to walk to surrounding areas - or taxis into nearby Hammamet are cheap and easily available . The emphasis is on peace and relaxation and the hotel definitely delivers on that. Highly recommend this lovely hotel."

"Great location. Beautiful area. Nice and helpful staff. We had our tour guide driver drop us off at the hotel when we first arrived because trying to hire a driver through Yasser to drive us from the Medina was impossible. Many drivers canceled on us and refused to drive up to sidi bou said. Special thanks to both Hôtel concierges Slwa & the man from the night before (we don’t remember his name), for helping us arrange a taxi pickup for the airport."

Fantastic clean rooms and staff service, minutes walk from the main town centre with spectacular views over the marina just near by. I highly recommend it. Take a room with a balcony and marvel at the sea view surrounded by lush trees. Great breakfast too brough to your room. I would definitely go back again. I felt somewhat regal"

"This is a good hotel that is having trouble keeping up standards. The staff are usually very helpful, and the beach is one of the best. However, so many small things were annoying. Even as we arrived, the receptionist had written down our room number ambiguously in a way that caused us and the porter to go to the wrong room. The first few days were hot even by Tunisian standards and the room air conditioning could not cope. It was always too loud, but at least was fine as the temperature dropped. Food smells were strong from the balcony or the halls. The shower door allowed water to flood out after use - this was fixed after we complained, but proof of poor maintenance. Our room card stopped working after exactly seven days - even though the hotel knew how long we were staying. If their policy is just to grant seven days access they must tell us surely? One of the most annoying things was the ATM never worked for us, or anyone else. This would be no issue in many places, but the Steigenberger is isolated and needs a drive to get to a working ATM in the town. The basic standard of the food was fine, but there was a lack of actual Tunisian food in favour of bland euro stuff. Unforgivably, there was no decent coffee - only instant Nescafe - completely unforgivable in a country with good coffee, For this reason alone, I won't return. We think the small beach restaurant gave us a stomach bug from hygiene problems. These could all be fixed, but limit your stay until then!"
