"Our goal for our trip to Japan was to hike Mount Fuji, but one of the unexpected highlights was our stay at the Kappo Ryokan Uoichi! Post-hike, we moved from Tokyo to Osaka with a stop at the Ryokan in Shimada. Two families (eight of us) stayed at Kappo Ryokan Uoichi and had a wonderful time. "The staff were super friendly when u stayed there. When I asked to leave my luggage before checking in they said yes and actually took it to my room so that hotel was awesome for that. Plus right in front there’s an awesome ramen restaurant that serves the best ramen in my opinion with super friendly staff. 10/10 recommend, and the hotel is near a lot of shopping areas."
