"Great hotel, I’ve stayed many times and it’s the first time under this brand. Previously dogs could stay for free, but now it £15 per night, though the room doesn’t get serviced whilst you stay.. so this seems a bit steep. Food is overpriced in the restaurant, but the drinks are ok. Staff are very pleasant and the refurb is going well. Will be back"

"First arrived and didn’t k ow where it was (the sign name is a best western) not metropolitan! We deaf and disabled so lady argue with me not allowed to park but we parked in with disabled badge, told her bit she refused so we saw a car in disabled bay with no badge? So she kindly let us park. Went in room and maintenance been done around the room so we had to go back to reception and change room, the manager came and was kind enough to let us have the business class free of charge in way of apology. Nice manager. So parking not good but rooms and manager excellent. Had pizza and beer there bar man lovely make us pizza it was nice."

"Decent stay over all. Room service and gym facilities great. Rooms need updating and a thorough deep clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Parking very convenient however quite over priced. Very good location"

"very tired hotel - they are currently doing works in the lobby which looks to be a lick of paint and tiling. the rooms are really tired though, with no temperature control and no ability to open windows - cue awful night's sleep due to the room being very stuffy. can tell it was once a lovely hotel with good amenities when it was built, but everything is very shabby now and the new Radisson around the corner shows it up"

"Booked this property and the confirmation advised that the host would email me with instructions on how to collect the keys. I never received any contact from the host. I reached out by email, message, SMS, WhatsApp and tried calling several times. The first afternoon of my trip was spent on the phone to Expedia/Vrbo, and to try and find alternative accommodation so that I had somewhere to sleep that night. Do not book."
