We really enjoyed our time on the beach and found the apartment to be very comfortable. The location can't be better, the house is literally on "The Strand" (aka the pedestrian walkway that runs along the beach). The house is about 3 blocks to the pier where a majority of restaurants are located - perfect easy walking distance, but far enough away that you're buffered from the weekend noise. This apartment is located on the 2 floor at the back of the house, which faces a very quiet alley. The 3 apartments on the 2nd floor share a patio on The Strand, and most nights we found it was our private patio, even though the other apartments were occupied. Thoughtfully, there is a small electric BBQ on the patio, so you can grill and watch the sun set over Malibu mountains and the dolphins playing in the waves. The ladies who own and manage the property could not have been nicer. When a shelf fell down in our closet, I texted the property manager who was there within 15 minutes to fix it. When we had a problem with the keyless door combo, once again there was a near instant response to my text. The apartment is comfortable and well appointed - includes a king sized bed, a small well-stocked kitchen that is part of a kitchen/dining/living room, stacked washer/dryer, bathroom with shower/tub combo. We stayed for 5 weeks as we moved between houses in the LA area. We have 2 cars and didn't have a problem parking 1 in the carport area and the 2nd on Hermosa Ave. There is always easy parking available.
