「Enjoyable stay in one of the pub's rooms at the back of the property. Nice big room with settee and two chairs, much better than having to sit on the bed. Tea and coffee, fridge and bottled water are nice extra touches provided for when you get back from a day exploring. Shower good, water hot plus soft towels ( much appreciated!) and very quiet location in a small village with a handy village store in walking distance. Great overall stay.」

「front desk staff are not nice, not kind, the hotel has no car park, I asked front desk a map of the car park, but the girl immediately said no, I am a Japanese and do not know the area, staff should be kind and nice to customer, also when i checked out, other girl did not say thank you, even I told her thank you, this is very unusual in Japan. 」
「Stayed here many times over the years as it's convenient for Donington racing circuit. It's not a 5 star hotel, but gives excellent value for money in comfortable surroundings. Hotel is 2 minutes walk from the pub making it a convenient stopover. Plenty of free parking as well. Will definitely be visiting again. About 9 miles from Donington.」

「Absolutely outstanding customer service.The restaurant is an absolute must! we decided dinner was the best we had ever enjoyed in the UK wonderful service and piping hot food served to our table, perfectly timed between the three courses and the flavours were divine.

"The staff were all very kind and friendly. I am Japanese and my English is not very good, but they treated me with great courtesy. The only thing that concerned me was that the shampoo was not replenished during my stay, though I believe it would have been resolved if I had simply asked."
