「A beautiful hotel, grounds and local amenities」

「It has to be said that the house and grounds are superb and Met my desire to have my friend wake up on her 80th birthday in palatial surroundings. However I have just been informed at the end of breakfast that it is not included in my Expedia booking! There is no warning of that whatsoever and I think that it is deceitful and deceptive. 」

「It’s kinda worn down but nice enough I guess. But pricey for what you got. Plenty of parking at least」

「Kind staff」

「The meal of the restaurant was nice. But, my room was too small to relax.」

「Great location with easy access to the area. Really helpful staff. Food was well prepared and tasty. Rooms had all that you needed with some nice wee extras such as bottled water, coffee bags. Tissues toiletries」

「Room was clean but whole floor smelt of cigarette smoke. It’s a shame because the rooms are letting down the hotel as the rest of the hotel is very nice and it could be a top spot to visit. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the grounds were stunning! Food was also great but more on the expensive side. I had the burger on the menu (£18) it did come with chips and was tasty! Good place to stay if you want a short stay but it could do with some TLC」

「This was a first visit to property and we were very satisfied with all aspects of the Marina village. Although arrived early we were allowed access to room straight away, at that time of day parking was very good. Had lunch in bar/restaurant, choices on menu very good. For anyone travelling by rail station right next to site across canal. I would definitely stay again」

「From the staff, to the gorgeous rooms, the bar and restaurant areas, it was nigh on perfect. The air con unit occasionally got a bit noisy, but it was still a fabulous stay. We were there for one night, so I do wonder whether a longer stay might have made that part a little more frustrating over time. Otherwise, we loved it!」

「Ideal for traveling on to Stansted airport lovely rooms very clean, free parking. Breakfast was ok a little over cooked staff very friendly」

「Pros: Our room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was good with a variety of things on offer. Staff were friendly and polite. Location was excellent for restaurants, shops and theatre. Cons: The bed was very uncomfortable, lots of plumbing noise when the toilet was flushed and when the shower was in use. Also plumbing noise in our room when other rooms flushed their toilets, like a weird chirping noise. We unfortunately had noisy neighbours arguing and crashing and banging until 1am (this...
