Great hotel

Great hotel with beautiful views and well-kept grounds. The stay overall was lovely, but I marked it down slightly as there weren’t many personal touches, especially considering we were celebrating a birthday. Another small downside was the lack of specialist coffees—only filter was available. Finally, the main restaurant was closed, not mentioned on the website, so we had to eat in the bar. It was noisy as there was a football match on. That said, these are minor points, and I’d still be very happy to return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had found the hotel based on searching for somewhere we hadn’t been before. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was lovely to be able to walk around the grounds in the evening. While there isn’t a great deal to do in Ware, Scott’s Grotto (only open Saturday afternoon) and Hatfield House (30 minutes drive away) are both worth a visit. Thank you to all who made it an enjoyable weekend away for our family.

This hotel is absolute luxury. There were 8 of us altogether celebrating a 60th birthday. The staff are very attentive the food just divine and the facilities are just superb. We used the spa services and the pool area. We had afternoon high tea and ate at the cast-iron grill in the evening . Had yhe best time

Staff were brilliant. Breakfast was very good. Grounds are very pretty. Fitness/Health Club very good again with nice staff. Room was uncomfortably warm such that we had to leave window open at night even though it wasn't exceptionally hot outside. Shower temperature control was hit or miss.

Luxury and relaxation

Wonderful and relaxing stay here and can’t wait to go back. All the staff were so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was spacious with a very large and comfortable bed and staff made my birthday extra special.
