「We loved the hotel so much! The bar and restaurant provided nice food and very friendly service. The staff at the reception is kind, welcoming. All people there make us happy. One thing, the double bed in room 17 is squeaky. The mattress is good! Bathroom is very clean! Thank you very much, we’ll come again definitely.」

「The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. We stayed in a room named Helvellyn and Expedia didn’t state any issues with any rooms. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen. I think Expedia have been misleading not detailing the facts about that particular...

「Decent place to stay and good value for money so would recommend. No car parking which is made clear so no argument with that, however it’s worth being aware that Ambleside is busy so I ended up parking some distance away. Only negative would be the 8am breakfast time, as it was too late, so had to miss out both days. Annoyingly, the Ambleside in which is 100m away and owned by the same group is 7.30am which would have worked. Overall a decent place though」

「We stayed for a night and got upgraded to the room with hot tub which was very enjoyable! Even though the outdoor spa was closed for refurbishment the indoor spa was comfortable and well equipped. The staff were very friendly especially Michelle at the front desk who checked us in ! We hope to visit again in the future」
