"Tired hotel on the outskirts of Colchester. The least friendly check in I’ve ever had at a hotel, miserable receptionist. The room stank of cigarette smoke and the cleanliness left a bit to be desired!"

Also tv in our room very poor and only couple of channels worked .didnt use it enough to worry thankfully,despite staying 2 nights . Bed seemed clean enough just general room/ shower cleanliness ."

"Being from the hospitality industry, I am not easily wowed but I have to say, the staff and service was wonderful, genuine and warm. Clean rooms, comfy beds, all expected amenities working and I enjoyed a delicious dinner in the restaurant. I stay here whenever I'm in the area as there's always a warm welcome."

"Check in was easy.Everything was tip top and very clean ,For future guests maybe a microwave sometimes when you are away for work or pleasure you don’t want to cook and a micro meal is easy. Also an outside table would be nice. "
