"Hard to rate amenities when there aren't any which is fine - no need to pay more for amenities I won't use. My hairdryer didn't work and someone cam up in a few minutes to replace. Desk staff always nice. Would appreciate a more sanitary "ice machine" - it's a chest that you put a scoop in to retrieve. I've stayed there 7-8 times, convenient, safe, good water pressure, nice to have an actual medicine cabinet with adjustable shelves. Wish the lighting in the bathroom was way better. The bedside table lamps are quite old, and the switches a little iffy. It's right next to a 24-hour food place (Cook Eatery), which has great muffins, fresh fruit, and many hot/cold b"fast, lunch, dinner, snack items. Great location. I'd stay again."

"Hotel definitely in a great area, every thing you could do is walking distance and you are right next to grand central subway. The only thing is the rooms could use a bit of a renovation as the room we stayed in didn't have a working shower drain or phone and not the cleanest."

"Coffee bar service is slow. Front desk staff should have explained how the elevators work. We had to learn the hard way on the wrong floor and in a crowd. Room was clean. "

"This has become my go-to hotel of late for NYC trips. Not because it's anything fancy, but the location right next to Penn Station, Amtrak, LIRR, and the A/C/E, 1/2/3, B/D/F/M, and 7 trains is so convenient. Many pilots & flight attendants whose regular route takes them to NY stay here for this reason. The staff, and particularly the housekeeping staff, is super-friendly. The hotel itself is nice enough - plenty of large, double rooms, a nice art deco style (it was world famous in the 1930s), and history (Nikola Tesla lived his last days here) - and it's almost always reasonably priced. "

"I stayed at this resort for New Year. It was plenty of people but the staff made sure everything clean and everyone was safe. This hotel is in a nice location in Time Square."

"The elevator situation was dismal as there were three small elevators serving a 44 story building. during peak usage times (i.e. midmorning near check out time) waits for an elevator exceeded 5 minutes and once on an elevator filled to capacity it continued to stop at nearly every floor extending the time to get to the ground floor. On our last day it took us well over ten minutes to go from floor 22 to the ground floor. Bathroom doors are poorly designed and do not close completely. The staff did every thing within there power to make guests happy/"
