"Incredible location and great value for money - our room was nice and comfortable. Two main things let the stay down - first off, there was a horrible smell in the hallway when we first arrived, which had spread into our room. Everything was fine after we aired it out, but we had to hold our breath whenever we left the room. Secondly, when checking out the receptionist was very rude. Didn't even look at us when we walked up to the desk, just said "bear with me" and carried on working on the computer for a couple of minutes before turning to face us. Everyone else we spoke to were very nice."

"This property is beautiful and very handy if you are going to an event at the assembly rooms (which we were) Staff were lovely. When we arrived there were no free parking spaces, so one of the staff moved their own car for us. The cottage is spotless, the beds super comfy, and we had a little outdoor spot of our own adjacent to the pubs beer garden. It really is a gem. When I booked it was for a twin and a double - I should have checked this before we arrived as it was actually two doubles. I have no doubt the staff would have rectified this if I'd have asked, (because you can split the beds) but I didn't mind sharing with my friend so I didn't ask. The wifi didn't work, but we didn't need it so again didn't ask for assistance which I'm sure we'd have been given had we asked. And just one suggestion - I would have a strip of reflective tape on the step in the bathroom which is quite deep and no so safe during night time visits! I found it oddly quiet as well for a Saturday night. With the exception of a few noisy revellers walking past at about 1am - very peaceful. Honestly though we were so chuffed at getting this adorable cottage and wish we could have stayed longer than one night. We had breakfast in the pub the next morning, and couldn't fault that either. Very much would return."

"The room and the location was absolutely spot on clean, tidy and modern, I had 2 complaints made against me for noise that wasn't coming from our room 1st night I got woken by the call at 00.24 & the second night we wasn't even in our room we was out having a meal so just be mindful that any form of noise gets reported even when your not there!"

"The pub is a proper pub! Good beer, great staff and friendly customers we stayed in room 2 , a good size, clean and well presented room , good value and definitely would stay again "
