"An awesome well kept place for 2. Ideal for resting and getting cleaned up for your next adventure! Super close to all the tourist attractions, but away from the main road, so the nights are peacefully secluded from any noise."

"Before you book there, you have to be aware that you have to pass through the yard of charming people to get to the room, but they have a big dog (German Shepherd) that greets you with much enthusiasm by jumping on you and playfully trying to bite your arms…Not the best experience, even if you love dogs… They do their best to hold him when they hear you, but when they don’t, it can be scary… The room itself is large and airy, the king size bed is very comfortable, it is super clean, but the...

"Our stay in La Fortuna was truly magical. The unit was impeccably clean and well-maintained, and everything was perfectly prepared for our late-night arrival. "Stunning property! Exactly what we were looking for. Plenty of hiking on property to do. They offer guided nature tours. Our guide was wonderful and pointed out many animals we would never have found on our own. We also had a delicious dinner on site. The only issue is the road to get to the hotel. Tons of pot holes and difficult to travel. I felt bad for our Ubers who brought us to and from town, which was about 30min drive. Otherwise, it was an amazing stay!"
"My family of 4 (two adults and two kids ages 9 and 12) stayed at this hotel for 5 nights while on vacation in La Fortuna. Overall this hotel was a great option for our family to stay at while we were on vacation. This hotel is a great value and worth the money you pay to stay here.
The room- positives:
We had a relatively basic room that we were very happy with. It was HUGE and we had lots of space that was great for us. Room was very clean and well cleaned daily. It was very quiet and excellent for sleeping after a busy day!
The room- neutral/negatives:
-There is no fridge in the room and getting access to ice wasn't easy (just a super long trek from our room and they would give you a tiny amount.) The water from the tap also isn't cold so getting cold water was difficult.
-Apparently in La Fortuna there is a water shut off that happens nightly at 10:00 p.m. It would have been nice if the front desk had given us a heads up on this when we arrived. One night I wasn't able to shower or brush my teeth as planned!
Restaurant:
- We did not like the restaurant and I would recommend avoiding it. It's expensive and the service was not good at any time of day....breakfast or dinner.
The view from this hotel is amazing and the highlight for sure. From our room we had a clear view of the volcano and it was beautiful!!
Overall we were satisfied with our stay. It was good value. It wasn't luxurious by any means but it checked all the boxes of the things we needed."
"This is hands down the best hotel we have ever stayed at! Its absolutely beautiful. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Very clean. The pool was a lot of fun for our 6 year old daughter. The breakfast was incredible! We would stay here again in a heart beat. Shout out to the whole staff team at this hotel. You really know how to make sure guests are well taken care of and happy."
"Super glad I picked this hotel. We didn’t want to leave. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. They serve a really nice breakfast with a lot of variety of foods. The accommodations are individual bungalows with covered porches surrounded by beautiful rainforest foliage. Huge heated pool where you can swim up to the bar. Also has a hot tub and another large cooler pool. It is about 5 minutes outside of La Fortuna and feels like you are way out in the boonies. I had a hard time choosing which hotel to stay at during our time at La Fortuna but I’m so glad this was the one I chose."
