"We enjoyed our stay here at Hawaii Island Resort, it was pretty remote but between volcanos park and the airport so we picked this location. The hosts showed us how to look for and crack macadamia nuts but we only each found one edible one but it was fun trying! Beautiful property. There are a lot of amenities in the main house that we didn’t use but I’d imagine would be amazing to have a few friends staying at the property too it would be a very fun chill space to hang out in. The bed was comfortable and the room was minimal, we slept with the windows letting in all the night sounds (no A/C but breeze was cool enough at night and there was a fan that was good enough). The experience gave us a more true Hawaii experience than a hotel would have. This place is more like an Airbnb than a hotel. It’s cool that it is listed on Expedia. Not sure if there are restaurants nearby but we did catch a farmers market on our way in in the closest town which had a lot of good prepared foods."

"Second floor studio unit was clean, comfortable and well equipped. View from the lanai was peaceful and quiet - great place to have morning coffee."

"Very cool yurt experience. Great place for sitting out under the stars next to the fire table. Fully stocked kitchen and a little bit of everything you could want or need...tons of board games, yoga mats, etc. Plan extra time just for hanging out at the yurt!"

"The property was at the end of a long, bumpy road which felt a little less convenient but still in a good area with easy access to town. We were a little confused about where the door to the Vrbo was but figured it out pretty easily. The Vrbo had plenty of space and luxuries to accommodate guests. We really liked the reclining couch in the living room and how private our stay felt despite the owner living in the main house. The only thing of note is probably the ants, we had our suitcases open on top of a dresser and by the last day there were more than a few ants inside them even though there was no food left out. Overall, a solid Vrbo to explore the Southern part of the island! "

"A Beautiful home with amazing Hawaiian furniture and well stocked kitchen. Fruit trees that had mandarins, limes and grapefruits on them. Flowers and the golf course a few steps away. We loved taking the kids when no one was on the course and playing with balls and just running around. The swimming pool was small enough for 2 and 4 year olds and was nice to cool down in. The only negatives were that we had to police the kids so much due to the beautiful lamps and furniture and the mosaic table in the pool which was right by the stairs where the kids went in. There was a warning not to use it and a fine of 2500 if broken, which I would then say no young kids to who you rent to. The address on Vrbo should state lane not street as the same named street crosses the lane. We did have a great time, but we grandparents were worried often."

"We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO! The home was clean, neat, and well organized — everything was exactly where it should be, which made settling in so easy and comfortable. It is thoughtfully prepared for guests.The location was fantastic, making it easy to see all the sites. We were able to explore, enjoy the surroundings, and still come back to relax in a peaceful, comfortable space."
