Everything was great. We had a wonderful stay The only thing I would add would maybe be to be some spray for cooking maybe shower gel, otherwise it was perfect. You’re probably going to get a lot of new inquiries from us spreading the word and we can’t wait to come back! Thank you, loved the retro fun stuff, well done!!!

Host was excellent! I had flowers sent to the lodge for my girlfriend and they were handled with care. We were greeted by the most affectionate, cutest kitten (Hers-berry). Place was lovely and there was a book for us explaining the history of the family and property. We had an amazing stay. Would definitely come back again!

I can not say enough good things about this property! We were all completely blown away. The location is amazing. Close to everything but still set up and away. It felt like a private oasis truly. The whole inside is decorated in a funky and yet still homey way. I would move in tomorrow if I could. The host was incredible and even checked in on us the first cold night to make sure we had access to heat. It was a perfect weekend and we will for sure be booking the next time we are in town.

Cabin was cozy, clean, and cute as expected from the pictures! This was my first time booking so I was a little nervous, and host was very responsive and welcoming - such an added bonus and level of comfort when you're in charge of organizing!Hot tub, bonfire pit, and record player were all a hit during this girls stay - we even got custom sweatshirts to memorialize our stay!! Amazing private space! We loved the decor and the little details. The guest info book was very helpful and interesting. We spent the mornings on the deck looking at birds and squirrels. A flock of wild turkeys walked past the cabin. Stars were super bright at night with dark skies. This place is the perfect little escape! Thank you!

I grew up here!

Attending family reunion in the Trail of Tears State Forest which was very close by. I grew up only a few miles from there too. BEAUTIFUL location and lots of room! Can't think of any amenities that it did NOT have! Owners were close and very nice people. I hope to stay there again!

Family connection at the Lake

Wonderful property, clean, beautifully decorated.All the basics for light cooking. We checked all the boxes, hiking, wine trail, shopping, relaxed, caught up, played board games and listened to some great vinyl in the evenings.

We loved the place! You have to stay in this very unique home with plenty of space and lots to do without leaving the property. We could have sat on the deck all day just enjoying the quiet. We will definitely book again in the future.

Overall a lovely property, but with some quirks! The cabin is darling, the lake & dock are super relaxing (great for bird-watching!), and the fire pit is fantastic. It’s a remote location with just their family members who live on the property, so it’s very quiet & cozy. The hot tub is a wonderful perk. However, there was what looked to be a camera on the outdoor shed near the hot tub, which is not disclosed on the property details page (a VRBO policy). It faces the front door, and I’m not sure if you can see the hot tub on it or not. The owner drove up to greet us the second we arrived, which took away a bit from the feeling of being in a remote, private cabin in the woods, and made us feel like we were being watched right off the bat. You are in a remote location so bugs & mice are definitely to be expected & we understand that, but there was fresh mouse poop in the silverware drawer that wasn’t there the night before, so we refrained from using their dishes the rest of the weekend. We let the owner know right away (she’s very quick to respond which was great, and she did apologize & let us know their regular pest control person had just done routine maintenance, but no offer of bringing over disposable dish ware or cutlery to get us through the weekend). There’s also a LOT of rules; I stay in VRBOs often, and I’ve never seen so many rules. Once you make your reservation, the “rental agreement” you have to sign has 54 rules listed out.

Colorful renovated Aframe

This was a great space with multiple places to hang out and fun decorated bedrooms. Kinda tucked away but perfect for what we needed- we had a work retreat and barely left the property the whole time and were very comfortable! They put a lot of love and details into the renovation.

Hidden oasis

I adored the property! It was the best place to stay and relax and read and just rest. Tasha stop by and greeted us which was really awesome and even their golden retriever Nala stop by for a visit.! We even got a taste of local honey which we ended up purchasing and meeting with the lady down the road who had the honey. Simply amazing thank you!
