Everything was normal except that I was headed to the pool when the manager said it's closed because he can't see the bottom. The gym was to close for comfort even with only 2 people in it. Breakfast was well organized and very good. I thought I was getting the run of the meal eggs but they were actually delicious.

The hotel is clean, our room was of good size. The staff was very friendly, especially during breakfast. The breakfast itself is typical of big chain American hotels - barely suitable for human consumption (read: normal). The hotel itself is visibly aging. So am I, hence it was a good match. Except the hotel can, and should be refreshed soon to stay competitive.

It's very walkable to the University of Illinois. They have a great breakfast in the morning and a restaurant right next door.

Love the free coffee and breakfast, especially light roast and decaf options. Especially appreciate the long hours on breakfast (to 10 not just 9). Good healthy food choices too. Main reason we stay at Hampton Inns.

Older hotel but staff and management were nice and accommodating. Breakfast was good. A couple times I had to wait a while at the front desk for someone to help me with questions. There just wasn’t anyone there or a way to find someone or tell them I was out there waiting. Maybe a bell would help? We would definitely stay here again though.
