"The rooms are dirty, the walls need painting. The bathroom is a disaster, with a protruding cable (the mirror has no light). The hairdryer is unusable because the socket is broken. The bathroom is a disaster, there's not even a hook to hang a towel. I don't recommend this hotel. The reception is helpful and friendly. The internet is terrible. the only advantage is the location close to shops and restaurants"

"There were trash in the room from the previous guests. We specifically reserved a place with breakfast, first, receptionist said breakfast will be served 8:30-10:30, then he said 9:30-11:30 because of the night life."

"The staff was extremely helpful and kind. The location of the hotel is excellent for visitors as it is near the bazar quarter(10 minutes walk) the coast (20 minute walking) an kültürpark and its museums (5 minutes). Metro is not far away either. The cons were the cleanliness of the hotel, which was far from satisfactory, and the fact that there is no parking, despite hotel’s claims that it has free parking. We had to leave our car in the streets near the hotel. "

"Location was great: The famous bazaar was 8 min away to the left of the property and there's a metro station nearby as well. To the right u just walk 3 min to the nearest tram that can take u to Alsancak or u can walk for max 7 min to arrive to a very nice college style neighborhood. It reminded me of New York honestly. Room was extra clean and facilities are great. The receptionists were more than perfect and helpful and polite gentlemen. All in all perfect hotel. "

"Mövenpick Izmir is strategically Located on Cumhuriyet Blvd and opposite Cumhuriyet Meydani. Niche restaurants are near Meydani vivid area. Cosy Hotel, classic and modern. Friendly staff, I extend my gratitude to Murat, Samet at check in, Elayda very helpful guest relations, Ilgan at reception, Semra at Dining room. All are welcoming professional and attentive. Maintence staff very attentive quick. They fixed curains so as Housekeeping are professional Rooms are nicely decorated and toilets with nice design. The only thing need to be improved at rooms water pressure for sink and shower, maybe our room only not all hotels rooms so I cannot generalise room #903. The shade curtains I recommend to be upgraded to electrical rather than manual. There is a Dining room on 9th floor that need to be separated from rooms at least for its accessibility enterance. So no odours are in hallway. Hotel has a nice Icecream by Mövenpick must tey it..The Hotel is a great hotel that I strongly recommend to anyone visiting Izmir."

"As usual, we received a very warm welcome when we arrived by ALL the staff we encountered. As we arrived early, we were very happy to relax and have a coffee in the lobby bar. Arrangements were made to have our room made up before the official checking in time. The delightful gentleman on reception organised a table for us in the restaurant for that evening and also organised to collect our car-keys when our car was returned to the hotel later that day. Kindness at it's best. As usual, our room was very well appointed with wonderful views across the Bay of Izmir. Nothing had been missed and we were very impressed by the basket of fresh fruit delivered to our room. We spent the rest of the day by the pool relaxing in the sunshine and had a lovely lunch. There are always birds in the area due to close proximity to the sea. However, the seagulls this time were a nuisance begging for and getting tit-bits and defacating into the water and around the pool. We feel that this was NOT hygenic and the staff could have done more to deter the birds. In the evening we had a nice table in the restaurant near the piano and with a lovely view. However, we found the menu very lacking in vegetarian options offering only salad or spaghetti, not very exciting for a celebration meal. There were lots of lovely vegetable dishes on offer alongside the meat options. Breakfast, as always, was sumptuous and made our anniversary stay complete. We will return in the future. "
