"Fantastic stay. Room overlooking the lake was wonderful. The staff were very helpful and always happy to help. The included bus tour of the shrines was a lovely bonus. The option of the included meals was fantastic and the meals we had over our stay were outstanding. Would recommend."

"If you are a tourist, this place is only accessible by taxi. If you want to take the bus, make sure you do not have luggage as the city busses are very small. The onsen is really the highlight of the place. "

"Onsen felt like it wasn't real onsen and all the baths were lukewarm and not hot. Room was non smoking but smelt like cigarettes real bad like somebody was just here a day ago chain smoking. Actually bought room deodorizer for cigarettes and left it there. Parking was infested with weeds that sticks to your clothes took me 20 min to remove. Meal was part of the reservation but that wasnt communicated clearly to me. They ended up calling me asking me if im coming down for dinner twice even when i told them i dont need meal since already had plans. Not a big deal but stay tax could only be paid in cash. Out of all the hotels i stayed at japan this place is the only place that said cash only. I wonder what they would have said if i told them i dont have cash. With that in mind i dont think they were being truthful and was just being lazy. The hotel seems like it has some history but the proper investment is not being made. Could be better if they have the right mindset. "

"Room is huge by Japan standard, a great resort feel. Did not used the Pool. The staffs were really helpful and quite observant! Foods in the buffer and Italian restaurant were great, of course good stuffs don't come cheap. The location is good, as it was intended for outdoor activities. Just that getting around would require transportation (car)."

"Very easy process to self check in, room spotless, great free drinks options, excellent breakfast (would recommend getting double portion of 'toast', which is delivered to your door at specified time (you must choose order before 11pm). Great location next to lake front. Would def stay again 😎"
