「Stamphill is in an old boarding house. Rooms are upstairs and there is no elevator which can be tricky if you have mobility issues. The room was clean and spacious. Bob, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and saloon below the room were both good. Especially after a long drive when you don’t want to go very far to eat. 」
「This place is close to everything and far enough away to not be affected by the busyness that is Lead and Deadwood. I love being near the woods and mountains but where it is quiet and peaceful. This is a no frills, down to earth kind of place and I love it! 」
「Fantastic hotel. We were greeted with a gift (specialty labeled beer/wine for the hotel) and at the time of our arrival the chef was making brats complimentary for guests on the patio. The room was perfect and we were able to walk 3 directions to get to anything we wanted to do, the 4th side backs up to the mountains and nature.」

「This little motel is fabulous! It's so clean and the hosts are very friendly. The bed was comfortable and all amenities provided. There's a beautiful little creek behind the motel and cozy gliding rockers to sit and enjoy the sounds of the babbling brook going by. I wish I could have stayed longer and I will definitely be back.」

「Lovely historical hotel. Room was nicely appointed. There is an elevator ( surprising for an older hotel) it is locked down in the evening tho. Casino in the lobby but that is typical for Deadwood. 」
「Good sized room over looking main street, but noisy early morning. Breakfast was available & tasty with a friendly guy ensuring all the hit dishes were topped up. Easy access to all the restaurants in Main Street. Enjoyed our stay & and would recommend.」
