This was a historic hotel with amazing character. We will definitely be staying here again. The bed, sheets, and pillows were the best we've ever slept on. This was reasonably priced compared to other hotels in this area and was in walking distance of downtown. The owner was extremely welcoming and friendly!
Lovely historical hotel. Room was nicely appointed. There is an elevator ( surprising for an older hotel) it is locked down in the evening tho. Casino in the lobby but that is typical for Deadwood.
Great place to stay. Everything you need is close by and it's location is 1 block away from the hustle and bustle of the main drag! My preferred location for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Wonderful owners of the quaint hotel.
I have never been so welcomed by such wonderful staff before. Me and my friend ended up arriving an hour and a half after check-in time closed due to traffic and storm conditions since we were staying in Colorado the day before we drove up here, and they called to confirm if we were on our way and that we could text them to tell them that we had arrived. And they were SUPER kind and helpful with getting us set up and in our room. Very personable and I loved chatting with them if I ever saw them.
The room was super cute, and the rest of the hotel was really nice too.
I absolutely will be staying in this hotel again if I am ever in the area.
Lovely, historical period property in the heart of Deadwood. The clawfoot bathtub with hand held shower in place of a free standing shower took a minute to wrap or heads around, but was quaint with no inconvenience to our modern expectations. Our room was quite clean with a very plush comfy bed and luxurious sheets and beautiful antique furnishings. Our incoming flight into Rapid City was delayed significantly. I called to make management aware of our situation and they ( and the owner) stayed past normal check-in hours to accommodate us and provided exceptional service. Would most definitely stay again.

This place is a gem! Honestly I expected it to feel a bit unclean due to the age of the building, but it did not at all. It was very clean. The bed was super comfy as well.
Walking off the elevator to the second floor was like stepping back in time. It was surreal. All of the decor fit the time period of the building. Just a heads up, the bathtub in our room was located to the left when you walk in the door and there is no shower. If you need privacy, it would be best to choose a different room.
All of the staff were wonderful! I was literally given a tour of the place when we checked in. Great little casino and bar also.
Parking was easy and the location is perfect, walking distance to Main Street.
If you are looking for a cool experience, I definitely recommend.
