"Management excellent - as were all the staff. Listed building and would benefit from some TLC as we had expected, but we were allocated a lovely room and had a great stay. Housekeeping standards not amazing - but bins emptied and water replaced. The bar area and lounge/restaurant lovely but the standards dip a little as you head upstairs to the room - just small things like the hand rails grubby. Food wise, we only ordered a pizza (which was clearly a frozen Iceland style pizza) so not the best and breakfast was a little disappointing but fine for what we needed. Lido is gorgeous and grounds well kept. Rooms hot, but we were kindly provided with a fan. Overall, a pleasant stay in a great location."
