「Breakfast was good, staff attentive and helpful. However, my room was serviced on my first night. I got back to the hotel and when entering my room, the bed hadn't been made, tea bags etc not replenished, bathroom not cleaned. I was most surprised as I haven't had this before.」

「Bathroom in severe need of decorating, bedroom also needed a makeover.」

「There are few restaurants or pubs and the atmosphere is not so good near the hotel. What is worse, it is far from the nearest station to walk.」

「Nice hotel, was aged in places, nice staff. Good use of facilities」

「Clean room. Fine breakfast.」

「We really enjoyed our brief stay.Such charming staff. My only question would be,please keep fresh milk in the room fridge, for tea in the morning. We would like to come back to stay in one of the thank4 bed lodges, overlooking the lake, next time.」

「I’d booked and paid for a room via Expedia. When I arrived I was told that I would not be staying there as they were fully booked and they had no rooms available. They claimed that there had been a change of ownership/management the week before and even though I myself had only booked two days before my arrival they denied any knowledge of my booking. I was left trying to find an alternative place to stay at 7pm on a Saturday night. Beware of pre booking if this is how they now treat guests....

「Beautiful grounds and garden. Helpful staff. Comfortable room and bed, tasty breakfast. Only complaint, the front entrance is locked a little early for a Saturday evening, took 2 calls to get the entrance opened. But would recommend.」

「Clean and tidy. Not too modernized decoration. Slightly dated facility but well maintained. Spacy room. Peaceful and quiet small village. Not very frequent public transport. On top of all very organized and friendly staff and brilliant restaurant.」

「Room was clean and evening meal was excellent. Breakfast was good but quite expensive but really enjoyed our 2 night stay」
