This is a great escape from the city and offers many options for enjoying the area or if you have younger children, many play facilities are available. Staff is great as always at any Hoshino facility.

Our stay at the Ryokan Tsuchi to Ito was nothing short of a dream. The ryokan itself is beautiful with gorgeous details and comfort in every corner. The host, Kimi, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for, and provided wonderful recommendations as we spent our days exploring Nagano. The food is absolutely exceptional, and you can tell they take great pride in the food they grow and Kimi’s mom is an incredible cook. We will never forget our stay, and enthusiastically recommend it to anybody.
