「It’s a lovely place with nice comfortable rooms, good service and excellent food. Also next to a field of curious cows… very sweet! A great stop over on the way north.」
「This was our second stay at 40 winks and it was even better! Warn welcome, beautiful decor, delicious breakfast. Host went out of his way to make our visit run smoothly as we were here for a graduation ceremony. We will be back. Didn’t have time to use the new bar so we must return!! 」

We only had breakfast but it was delicious and plenty of it. The decor was lovely but needed a bit of tidying and the vase on the table needed a clean. I’m not keen on fake flowers which gather dust and the winter sun shows the glass vase needing a polish.
I’m being picky hoping I’m being helpful. It was a fab stay and I thoroughly recommend it and would stay again. 」

「Wonderful location and setting. The hotel leans into it's historic location. Beautiful flowers adorning the building make it even more impressive. Very comfortable rooms, excellent breakfasts and friendly staff. Very accessible for activities in the area.」
「Not great for EV drivers as when you take the car to charge, you cannot return to the hotel to park. And the cleanliness in the bathroom prevented me from bathing my 3 year old.」
