"From the moment you walk in, the Beach Lodge feels more like your friend's beautifully designed home than a rental. The open floor plan is perfect for groups, and the location in Highlands is perfect too, within walking distance to beaches, waterfront restaurants, and shops.  The house is immaculate and has everything you could possibly need - they offer hotel-like amenities and I especially loved how stocked the kitchen was! Cherisse's welcome guide is a game-changer too, with spot-on local recommendations that basically plan your trip for you. This was my second visit and I took the Seastreak Ferry over from Manhattan this time. It’s conveniently down the street and only takes 1 hr (plus it's dog friendly). Cherisse is the kind of host who has genuinely thought of everything, I highly recommend staying here!!!"

"This cottage needs serious attention. No place to hang coats or towels. No room to prepare food. Microwave is on top of fridge. Ceilings are peeling. There are hooks at top of bathroom door but are over 7 feet from floor. We couldn’t reach. Parking was at a premium. Our last night we got the last spot in the public parking lot at the end of the street. The floor was unbelievably cold. Sleeps 5 but only four chairs to eat but really no place to slice, chop and dice. Coffee and toast is practical though. Coffee maker should be one that has automatic shut off for safety. Location is awesome. Our daughter lives a block away. "

"The beautiful backyard was just as pictured. My grandchildren enjoyed the pool, and we enjoyed our coffee on the covered porch. The space was family-friendly with many activities provided for our use. The location was walkable to playgrounds, parks and some restaurants. The beaches at Sandy Hook were a very short ride away.
