「Mini Sainsburys and post office were within yards away and very useful. I would have liked a few more small shelves in bathroom and I couldn’t even see myself in the mirror in the lounge so couldn’t understand what it was there for (maybe for decorative purposes!). Nice and warm and bed very comfortable. Although I understand Ts&Cs, for an elderly and vulnerable person such as myself I found stripping the bed and towels etc before leaving at 11:00am quite a tiring process. However, all in all it...

「Bed was broken, one shower’s hot water didn’t work, main water heater didn’t work, one room was too small for the closet/cabinet to even open, minimal towels available, no shampoo or bath soap, and grass and weeks were almost two feet tall. Host was generally responsive but this way too much to deal with on a short stay.」

「Clean and comfortable. Glad we were no more than 4 adults as there is only one bathroom. We booked through vrbo but then ended up dealing with an outfit called Sykes Cottages who ended up charging us more (not a lot more but more than the ad quoted) and they were a nightmare to deal with. Their intervention felt like a scam. Luckily our stay was enjoyable but Sykes should be avoided. 」
