"We had a very clean, well appointed room with a great view of the harbour. The front desk staff was welcoming and helpful and all cleaning staff greeted us warmly. We had an excellent early morning breakfast — much appreciated for catching an early float plane flight ( right out the door) and great wait staff."

"We had a late night stay at the Buccaneer Inn before leaving for Victoria in the morning and so happy we booked it. The room was well set up, parking and reception easily accessible to the room and the beds were extremely comfortable. Everyone was well rested after a long day and check out was simple. A lovely choice if you're staying in Nanaimo!"

"If you’re open to bare-bones, inexpensive, quirkiness, remember this is a hostel (though I rented a private room. Very accommodating, all requests fulfilled. Friendly staff."
