Ocean front 1 bedroom cabin steps from the ocean

"If you're prioritizing nature and serenity, this is an incredible place! Truly right on the water with fantastic privacy. Off the beaten path, but that gives you the quiet of hearing no road noise and gives AMAZING stargazing at night. We used this as our base camp for a few days at Acadia and absolutely recommend it for anyone who doesn't need fancy accomodations. Should be mentioned that the shower water has a bit of a sulfur smell and you need to bring drinking water (though a coouple gallons were provided), but the place has all the supplies you may need. Truly hope to stay here again! Such an amazing place to stay"
The Clamdigger Cottage, a peaceful Downeast waterfront retreat

"Super fun house and spot. The views were amazing, sunsets, peaceful and quiet. This is a rustic seasonal home but we really loved it. A little chilly till we found some more blankets. There is a propane fireplace which heats it up quickly but I would not leave that on overnight. The second bedroom is in a separate little studio and so you need to go outside to go to the cottage to use the bathroom. Also we did not notice re the tap water not potable and we used for coffee and tea :) so definitely need to bring drinking water. We loved this place!"

"Very convenient location. Very clean and quiet. Beds very comfortable. Only negative comment I can make is lack of shelf to but toiletries… shelf above the sink is not big enough to store anything."

"We had a wonderful stay and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The entire place was thoughtfully done and easy from start to finish. You can tell a lot of thought went into creating a place the feels warm and welcoming rather then just a rental. We were a group of 8 adults and a toddler. The bedrooms were large and the way the house was laid out provided plenty of privacy. Note, to anyone looking to rent as a previous review sited, the house is remote (an hour plus to Bar Harbor) but that’s not a knock. Sitting at the fire pit overlooking the cove and gazing at the stars was so peaceful!"
