They were very informative, gave us local places that were open for the season still and they had a binder full of activities and places to eat; all in town and surrounding towns. "We loved this place, not least because our River View room gave us a beautiful outlook. We even saw a seal swimming past. The two beds were big and comfy, the room had been renovated and a real person on reception made a nice change. I strongly recommend this place."

"This is a lovely place to stay. The location couldn’t be better - due both to being on the lake and proximity to hiking trails, other lakes, and Downeast towns. The house is comfortable and well equipped, and you have plenty of options of where to sit and enjoy the lake and its wildlife (well-windowed living/dining rooms, table and chairs on covered porch, fire pit with seating, and regular Adirondack chairs on the grass). Troy, the owner, was responsive when I had questions, which was infrequent. There is lake access, though the dock had been pulled up when I was there so I had to carry my kayak over rocks and grasses to get to the water. This wasn’t an issue; just something to be aware of if you struggle carrying the weight of your watercraft. I highly recommend this place. It’s a wonderful escape."
