"Staff are always friendly and helpful. They remembered me from a previous visit. Rooms are clean, well presented and accessible (lift). Hotel is right outside the station, and a short distance from the centre of town. Breakfast offers continental or full English (best bacon ever). Loved playing solitaire in the bar - small selection of games/packs of cards available. Lovely place to stay. Highly recommended."

"I booked 2 rooms, both of which were excellent, very clean and beautifully furnished, recently fitted bathrooms with excellent facilities. The staff were wonderfully friendly and welcoming, they made us feel very comfortable in the beautiful location. We really enjoyed our pre dinner drinks by the open fire in the guests lounge and learning about the history as we explored the building. Delicious food, we met the chef who checked our exact needs. We could not find any faults at all with our stay and it was terrific value. We would also say thank you for the personal extra messages from the owner with directions and checking that everything was satisfactory with our stay which I am delighted to say it was. The grounds are lovely and had we had more time and better weather would have explored more. If I come back to this area of Scotland, I will definitely rebook and cannot recommend this location enough. Thank you for a wonderful experience. "
