"Rooms well sized and with furniture to hang, put your clothes and bags away. Plenty of space in bar, dining areas. Bathroom, shower in good condition, clean. Bar area has a great selection of draught, bottles and shelved beverages. Dining wide selection of choices on the menu. Breakfast included in our booking, continental and cooked offered. Off road parking for all attending"

"Nice old property, however had to change rooms due to extremely noisy and foul language stag party guests. I would not recommend this hotel to couples looking for a quiet weekend due to the hotels acceptance of stag parties."

"I thought l'd already done this, but everything was fine, except it took me an hour to find it from being sold by my sat nav that l had arrived then it went dead! I was on a very dark motorway with no sign of an exit, l went round the countryside for ages, till someone told me you could only get at it from junction. 16, when going north ( not at all from the other way!) Please sent instructions to every guest!!!"

"Work visit and didn't arrive till 8ph. Very helpful young lady on Tuesday night. No food available in the evening but able to eat my chippy tea with a pint ;-) Very handy for work and great for local walks in the evening. Looking forward to being back next week."

"Shabby but adequate for a couple of nights. Parking was ok for us but it could be a problem if there are a lot of guests. It’s first come, first served for about 25-30 spaces; there are other car parks in the vicinity. We didn’t eat there; it’s very close to the city centre and there is plenty of choice in the area. Room was ok but beds could have been made better as the mattress was visible at the bedhead but it was comfortable and a fan had been provided as it was pretty warm! Certainly worth the money we paid (as cheap as some youth hostels). Floors creak which disturbed us occasionally"

"My friends and I stayed overnight during our road trip. We chose the hotel because it was along our route and had ample parking available. We were expecting a comfortable stay, good hospitality, quiet surroundings, easy parking… and that is EXACTLY what we got. Zero complaints and would happily book again if in the area."
