We stayed at the Quality Inn & Suites Galveston - Beachfront the night before our cruise. The lobby was under renovations, so check-in was a little different than usual, but the staff was friendly and efficient. The hotel’s location is excellent—close to the beach, several dining options, and even a Walmart, which was convenient for last-minute needs. The drive to the cruise terminal was straightforward and stress-free. Our room was spacious and clean, though nothing particularly special—comfortable enough for an overnight stay. Breakfast was offered at the adjacent hotel, but we didn’t take advantage of it. Overall, it was a convenient and practical choice for a quick stopover before a cruise.

The hotel was under remodel. The room was fine, but we found wet shorts in the cabinet. We are also found a wet towel soaked in the shower. The room was never checked the three days we stay there our trashcan was overflowing. I had stayed here before and I had no problem. The good thing is the hotel is directly across from the beach with a good view. It’s a great location with a Kroger‘s right next-door in a Walmart mile away.

had a beach view looking over Mc Donalds. but the bad part was the whole bottom floor where check in was, was under construction and we were not told. had to walk next door for brk and it was packed due to serving both hotels. no where to sit. floors in the room were filthy. kids and i had black feet. guest staff was very friendly though.

In order to see the beach view from the balcony you had to hang over the balcony. Construction noise is awful throughout the day. Fire alarms all day long and throughout the night with people showing.

Renovations underway are the reason for my low stars. Once renovations are complete, I have no doubt this property will be amazing. But full renovations were in full effect and there were literally no amenities. Their Sister company is right next-door so we were able to get coffee and breakfast. We also were able to use their outdoor pool. The staff was amazing. And I’m not sure, maybe someone was smoking in their room but two nights in a row their extremely loud in room fire alarm went off at 11 PM. Although we were able to check in early, I’m quite sure the room was not cleaned. The floor was littered with mess. Beach access was great.

Soooo this property is under construction and it is mass chaos. One person is working the lobby with construction crews, tools, all sorts of things are also going on. I went down for towels and wash clothes and waited probably 15-20 minutes. When someone finally came down to get them, the guy told me someone else would be taking care of that and walked away. It was odd. Our first night there at 10:30, there were people banging on our door twice. I alerted guest services and she said she would walk the hall. Not convinced that happened. Then, a few minutes later the fire alarm was going off. It was an exhausting night. The phones in room didn’t work, one light switch was practically coming off the wall. The mattress was dirty but did have a mattress cover.

I was not told they were going to be doing renovations. The whole property was a mess and under construction. Rooms were dirty and looked like they were given the "landlord special". We were told to go next door for breakfast since ours was under renovation. Keys didn't work to the pool. Fire alarm went off during the night. Awful experience

Property is under construction which is ok, it just meant we had to go to a neighboring hotel for breakfast and it was over crowded and not very good. We stayed on a Saturday night so the price was exorbitant for what we actually got. The room was nice enough; clean. Check in lady was super nice. Check out lady acted like it was an absolute inconvenience to speak with me. It was close enough to the beach and restaurants but wasn’t worth the high weekend price.

The hotel is undergoing remodeling. This was not mentioned when we booked. The front lobby is a mess. The entrance was blocked when we arrived which made it difficult for our Uber driver and then the elevator didn’t work so we had to walk to another elevator with all of our luggage. The indoor pool was open but looked very univiting so we didn’t use it. Breakfast was at the property next door due to the remodeling. Staff were very helpful, but we should have been notified in advance that the property was being remodeled and we would have chosen another place. Expensive for what we dealt with.

Pro: Beds were comfortable. Ocean view was amazing. Con: At night the ONE front desk staff has multiple task. I turned on the heater and it smelled like smoke. Got so bad the alarm in my room was going off. I called the front desk 3 times. No answer. Went down to the lobby and she said she was locking up the pool area. Maintenance came to check the heater. Of course this time nothing happened. I said we would call if it happened again and he rudely said, no I get off at 11. I said I’m call the front desk then and he said…He is not coming back. It’s not what he said it’s how rudely he said it.

The entire building was under renovation which I can appreciate. Our room was actually a renovated room, but it was very sloppy - paint mistakes everywhere, the bathroom didnt seem to be redone - tub was dingy and floor tiles cracked. The hallway was dirty - I think we stayed on the same floor as the reno crew. The elevators took an eternity. The entire entry was a disaster and had to check in at a make shift desk. Breakfast was not provided but we were give the option to eat at the neighboring hotel. While the price wasn’t terrible, the extent of the renovation/current condition of the property could have been better communicated. Definitely would have stayed elsewhere had I known.
