"What is this place even? It’s technically a hotel, but I’m pretty sure I was the only person staying there — maybe one other guest at most. “Creepy” is honestly the best word for the experience. The front door closes and locks at 7pm, and no staff appear again until around 9am. Instead of guests being able to use a keycard at the main entrance, you have to go through a back parking lot, down a strange alley, and enter through the rear door. It felt unsafe and unnecessarily unsettling, especially at night. It’s odd that they haven’t figured out a better after-hours entrance system. The room itself was okay — a little grungy, but the bed was comfortable and the AC worked well. Still, I really didn’t want to leave the room once I was inside. The location is convenient and centrally located downtown, which is probably the biggest positive. But for such an interesting small city, Lafayette deserves much better accommodations than The Juliet. I’m genuinely glad to hear a new hotel is coming to town."

"The floors in the room were not very clean. Excessive damage/worn tub and vanity sink. It appeared to have some new furniture but no updates to the physical room and bathroom. Hallway walls very dirty. Parking lot security questionable with no oblivious cameras that I saw around yet the street in front of hotel had city installed cameras with blue flashing lights that are typically used in areas of concern. I went to walk my dog at around sunset and was approached by two stray dog in the parking lot that I had to get away from my dog. Pet fee was more than what was advertised online and front desk person showed zero interesting or care in correcting the discrepancy."

"The character of the property was excellent although you park at the rear and enter from the rear so you don’t see the full glory of the plantation house. Lovely courtyard area. A traditionalBreakfast of fresh fruit eggs, biscuit and meat gravy. Vegetarian option just one biscuit one egg. Good quality hairdryer and iron there is also a fridge and microwave. "

"I can say only positive thing was clean sheets. The location was terrible, all night and days between traffic noise and it was no sleep for us. One of the bed broke and we contact the Vrbo, owner came over 11pm banging the door. The first lies was they said they call my phone. They are not allowed to contact me. Even they came, they did not fixed the bed. They came for fixing the internet which it was nothing to do with us. They have another rental behind us has problems so they came in and fixed other problems. It was 11pm. They should not come in first place. And when they are leaving, they will fix the bed. They did not come back and fix the bed. That’s another lie. The both rental looks awful. No clean yard or nothing. The trash can was full. The water pressure was bad and it was hard to take a shower or brush the teeth. The one of the house roof was really bad and I was afraid of water leaks. I would not stay with them or any of there properties. It was nothing about nightmare. "
