This place was absolutely incredible. Our room was right on the water and immaculate. The resort is huge and has its own trolley. They also have a waterpark and another pool with waterslides. Amazing stay!

This place was ok. The unit we rented had a few small repair issues, and the screens did not prevent no-see-ums. Upon check-in, it would have been SO helpful to receive a warning and any general tips about how to prevent and care for the bites, which were inevitable this year. Positives: We liked the proximity to the beach and the sunset games near The Beach House restaurant/bar. The restaurant was decent but nothing special. The Bayview pool area was fantastic, and we loved the poolside service for food and drink.

We weren’t notified in time to change our plans that the Captiva landing with the waterpark and other amenities would be closed for refurbishing during our stay. Otherwise, the island is quaint, quiet, and we saw plenty of wildlife. The staff was wonderful. The beach was clean with soft sand and beautiful sunsets! Just wish we could have experienced the waterpark as it was the reason we chose this resort. Resort restaurants are not good, food options and quality were lacking. We preferred heading outside resort to local restaurants. Shopping was not great. Only expensive boutique options unless you head out out of the resort area to the local beach shop.

We had a wonderful stay at South Seas Resort! Everything was perfect from beginning to end. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and attentive, and the entire resort was extremely clean, well maintained and organize. The location is beautiful, and the water park for the kids was absolutely excellent, they all had a great time! Everything was very family-friendly and made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Southseas Resort to families and anyone looking for a clean, comfortable and fun place to stay .

We stayed in the marina villa in a renovated room which was very nice. Everything worked well including the AC! There are great additions to South Seas like the new waterpark and the BEACH House restaurant. There is still active construction where the hotel was before the hurricane. All of the staff was great EXCEPT ONE VERY NASTY TROLLEY DRIVER who was upset because we were parking our bicycles in the shade because of the 100 degrees hitting our seats. The bikes were not in anybody's way, but I guess he thought he was the bicycle police. Anyway, we will return. Great job South Seas on the renovation!

The beach villas are dated. The water park was a great addition and the 4th of July activities were fun for the kiddos. Food at beach house restaurant is overpriced and not good. Did not love that the staff asked us to remove sheets/duvet covers from beds, wash dishes, throw out trash, and put all towels in one pile. When paying $7k for two beach villas for a 3-night vacation, I should not have to be doing any cleaning for the resort.

Website is deceiving, this is not a resort like advertised. It is individually owned places managed by a resort. You have to come prepared with food and water. Getting towels at pools by the condos were a constant problem. The views were beautiful and lots of great wildlife to enjoy watching.

Felt like they weren’t fully staffed. There wasn’t a lot of vibes of merriment even though they have great amenities to do so. Allison at Flippers was very nice and enjoyable. Gigi at Beach House was very sweet and we enjoyed her service but have to say we had told the restaurant that it was our 35th wedding anniversary and felt that was somewhat not acknowledged. Yes they gave us dessert and that was kind and we weren’t expecting anything but just felt our reservation could have been made to feel more celebrated. After all, we could have gone to so many other restaurants but chose your resort. It’s the little things that make a milestone memorable. Also as a non drinker the NA beer options and in general at South Seas were lacking. As a bar mgr I saw great potential but didn’t see that mgmt capitalized off all they have in amenities.

My kids and I just got home from a spring break trip to South Seas. At first, I was a bit frustrated as I had asked for a crib/pack and play a week prior and I had to chase one down. Additionally, the floors of our condo weren't clean and no one addressed it. However, the hospitality and amenities otherwise were incredible. I felt comfortable being there with my kids and they had a blast. Our room overlooked the bay, which provided beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We had plentiful space and there was so much to do. My daughter never got tired of the pools, beach, and restaurants. I would stay here again!
