"The staff are excellent. We had an issue in the room and the front desk girl immediately took care of the issue. The restaurant is directly in front of the hotel so you can walk from the hotel to the restaurant. The bed was not as comfy as other chains. But it's good for a 1 night stay. The local restaurant down the road was great service and food!"

"Nellies farm house in Romney WV is a peaceful retreat in an idyllic country setting. On the drive in you can appreciate the beautiful mountains and farmland, and the view from the house is an expansive visa of the whole valley. The house is the perfect blend of modern convenience, and country charm. It was roomy, well stocked, and very clean. There was even a record player with vintage vinyl. There is an elevated rear porch with great views and a hot tub on the patio below. We enjoyed the views of antique barns from various large windows in the house and had a fun time seeing the cows graze in the field below. The hosts were accommodating and helpful. We truly enjoyed our time there and look forward to returning again in the future."

"The house and stay was amazing, and it was everything we could have asked for a weekend getaway. The house is tucked away quietly in the mountains with peaceful views. It’s walking distance to the river and multiple hiking trails. The house is very clean (not a single issue), well kept, and has all the amenities you’d need. Tony is very helpful with check-in/check-out instructions and responds very quickly. I highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat."

"This is a great place! So quiet; beautiful scenery; lovely cotton sheets and towels; and it really is a well-stocked kitchen (some rentals say it, but this owner really knows what makes a well-stocked kitchen). The beds were comfy, and we had some of the best sleep we've had in months. The owner put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into the house, and it shows. If you visit, please show maximum respect to this home, and be sure to read the delightful coffee-table book on the home's creation. I've been hearing about Dolly Sods from friends for years, and from the home it's a short drive to the Dolly Sods plateau with breathtaking vistas and about 10 different trails. If, like us, you don't know a lot about Dolly Sods, you should know a few things. The house is about 2.5 miles up an unpaved forest road from a paved state highway. We were glad to have a Subaru Forester with AWD and high clearance; we saw a few compact cars struggle to avoid bottoming out in a few spots. These were dry weather days.The other thing that surprised us was that the owner harvests rainwater to supply the house. So, you need to bring your own water for consuming and cooking. It wasn't a big deal at all. I just had to break my muscle memory everytime I went to fill a pot for cooking.If we'd stopped to think about, both probably should have been obvious - especially from the home's title, Modern House in the heart of Dolly Sods wilderness"
