"My adult son and me stayed at the hotel for two days early in June. The area looked nice and safe, the room was spacious and clean, the breakfast (cereals, oatmeal, milk, coffee, and orange juice) was suitable for us and pretty good for the price. We did not need air conditioning, so we did not even try to turn it on, but we opened the window to let fresh air in; we both really liked it. One of the best things is that check in starts at 10:00 am; it was just great! The parking is large; if you need public transportation, there are at least two bus stops just next to the hotel. I wish there was a coffee or tea pot in the room and a hair dryer in the bathroom, but I understand it might be too much for the price we paid. However, a couple of hooks for clothes or towels in the bathroom could be affordable for the business and helpful for the customers. There is no elevator, which may not even be necessary for the two story building, especially if your luggage is not heavy. The front desk receptionist (or manager) kindly offered to help us with the luggage. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in the Heart O’Chicago Motel, and if we take another trip to Chicago, we’ll most likely stay there again."

"So the fact I have to be buzzed into the lobby makes me feel unsafe with the area it's located in. Then the staff was very unfriendly. No one seemed to smile. I killed a cockroach on the 1st night. No body wash and a tiny bottle for shampoo. King size bed and only 2 pillows and they were the thinnest ever."

"Entered the room to a horrible mildew smell. Though we said we had 4 in our party, only 3 towels were included. At 1AM, the smoke detector started chirping. Seems it had been doing this previously as someone before us had tried to put tape over the holes where the sound emitted. We informed staff in the morning and though they said maintenance would look at it, that night the chirping started at 3AM. Horrendous experience."

"The room was very clean. Staff was very helpful. (I needed another washcloth) The bed sheet had holes in it. Should be replaced. I would have expected with a 2 night stay for 1 person there would have been 2 towels and washcloths. The air conditioner was great. I will stay there again!"

"The staff at this Super 8 over the past week were very helpful and Harry at the front desk was great and helped us with our parking needs. This was greatly appreciated! Great place to stay! Highly recommend! Harry is the best too and was understanding of our larger utility vehicle parking needs. Thx!!"
