"This Guest House was a great surprise! The rooms are very big and clean and the wide marble bathroom is wonderful! WiFi, big flatscreen TV, sofa, fridge, water cooker and mineral water is in the room. The Guest House is in a quite and safe place and can easily be reached by foot from Rosebank Mall (ca. 1 km, during the day it is safe to walk). Great breakfast included, the owner and the staff are really nice. I would go back here any time, I felt really good and safe. Thank you for making me...
"Simply the best there is. The facility is beautiful and insulated unkept, but the real treasure are the owners and the staff. JP gets a special mention - he’s awesome. We’ve tried everywhere as we’re in Johannesburg often - but for the past few years we go straight here. "
"Every aspect of our stay was intentionally welcoming. From the welcome beverages to the bedside treat, we felt cared for every moment of our stay. The tour of the sanctuary allowed us to have an inside look into the life of Nelson Mandela. Each person at the sanctuary told us more about the beautiful history of his time there. We highly recommend a stay at the sanctuary to all who visit Johannesburg.
The meals were exceptional and designed with a global perspective. Each dish has its own story....
"I think it's important to know this is someone's house with a few hotel rooms upstairs. There are some less-than-ideal aspects. The place is very echoey, so if the owners are entertaining downstairs you will hear it in your room. The lighting is very harsh, bright white, which is a big no for me personally. And the bathroom/shower has frosted glass walls that lead on to the hallway. No one can really see you but it doesn't feel that comfortable. Just some strange design choices. The owner couple...
"Lovely boutique property on a quiet street in Sandton with easy walking to shops & restaurants. The staff were all so friendly and helpful!! Really good breakfast too!!!"
"Exceptional from start to finish - the hotel is wonderful - quiet and small but with all amazing amenities and beautiful design, the wallpaper, the different lounges, the rooms - just beautifully designed and decorated!
The staff are incredible, so kind and helpful, the food was delicious and the service was so wonderful. I can’t wait to stay again - I will surely be back!"

"Quiet location yet a few minutes walk to Rosebank Mall. The in-house restaurant has great food and wine. Breakfast was also good. Liked the turndown service as well. Would definitely stay here again. "
"Great walkable from the shopping area and because of the parking included you don’t have to pay to park in the mall.
I didn’t eat onsite as so can’t review the food. Staff were friendly and the place is fairly modern and of a decent standard. Would stay again"
"Our wifi got cut-off at 22h00,tried using the phone it didn't go through.Called directly to reception and they said someone is coming to fix until morning came. I was disappointed. "
"The room was quite comfortable. I stayed in the winter and there was no heating, but the blankets were sufficient to stay warm. Two towels are provided, but there is no soap or toiletries. The room was serviced daily, but I had to ask for toilet paper.
The entrance to the hotel is difficult to miss and is a locked sliding door. Sometimes the staff at the entrance take a while to open the door.
The location is a eight minute walk from Rosebank mall. It is a nice place to stay at a reasonable price."
