「It was a great location. We did find the car park a little bit tight and tricky to get into (as the road was fairly busy when we arrived). The cottage was great and had all we were after and the downstairs bathroom was great for my elderly Mum. The two single beds mattresses were a bit past their best so the only thing I’d suggest to improve the property would be an update of those. Otherwise it was a great place to stay right on the river.」

「Lovely home in the Lake District. The parking can be tricky during the day so arrive after five and there’s no issue. 」

「Pros: Beautiful cottage, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds Cons: Living room can get very hot at the height of summer (main window has no shutters) Better go via Sykes or Lakelovers.」

「Great location away from the crowds at Windermere. Lodge is well designed to take in stunning views of Lake Grasmere and the hills.」

「Lovely historic property- complete with all the quirks such as uneven floors, log burner, and a lovely wooden staircase. Great location to get into town too, and really quiet and peaceful at night. I had a lovely break here with my partner, felt like a proper escape.」

「Fell View is the most lovely get-away cottage. It is perfect for two people! I love where it is, and despite being in the middle of town, it seemed private, and cosy. I wish we could have stayed longer. I could not recommend this cottage highly enough.」

「With my Mum having limited mobility the parking situation was a challenge but we managed. We also hadn’t realised the 2nd bedroom was two single beds (our fault for not checking closely enough) but again we managed. Otherwise it was a great place to stay with beautiful views from the little garden on the one evening we had that it didn’t rain. A wonderful place to stay overall and would highly recommend it.」

「We had an excellent stay with an amazing view of lake Windermere. Our two boys had good reviews of the apartment which is unusual. The apartment was very well kept and very comfortable ♥️」

「Great location and house had everything we needed to have an enjoyable stay. Hosts had thought of everything and we appreciated the bottle of bubbles on arrival!」

「Luxurious comfy apartment in the heart of the delightful small town. Fully equipped with everything youll need. Never any trouble parking directly opposite the property, though it was outside of peak period. My only complaint is local takeaways not staying open long enough. 」

「Great location central Ambleside, with parking permit, everything you need」

「The house was absolutely charming and so cozy and comfortable for our family. We loved that we all had our own space but could still share meals and relax together.」
