Quorn Lodge Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Fantasic location. One of the cleanest hotel rooms we've ever stayed in. Would highly recommend "

The Barnsdale, Rutland
8/10 Good
"Nice place with a great steak dinner"

The Barn Hotel & Spa
8/10 Good
"The staff are all very attentive and friendly. However the building is starting to show it's age (understandable in today's economic climate). And whilst we didn't mention it at the time, the mattress in our room was as lumpy as we've experienced."

Crown Hotel Stamford
10/10 Excellent
"Can not be faulted, great staff great location, great food & drink. And secure car park, good news for my historic vehicle"

Deincourt Hotel
8/10 Good
"Staff here are where very helpful we booked a family room when arriving into our room there was only a double bed and one single for a family of 4 2 adults and 2 children. The staff were very quick to help and re arranged us a new room without hesitation. We had travelled a lot the day of staying. Decided to eat at the hotel was disappointed that there wasn’t a children menu for our children to pick from.
Couldn’t fault the food was absolutely Devine for dinner and breakfast was lovely to all fresh even though we were a late comer to breakfast fresh breakfast was brought out right away.
Overall happy with our stay. Rooms could do with updating and bathrooms to made not to leak water from the very powerful shower but for a quick one stop shop we couldn’t fault and would highly recommend.
Thank you to the staff for being very helpful and friendly specially having two excited children."

Redwings Lodge Uppingham
4/10 Poor
"We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children. We have previously stayed at the hotel a few years ago and had no problems. Yet this time when we went in the sofa bed was not set up. We spoke to the lady in reception who came back to the room with covers and we were told it was normal that guests set up the sofa bed ourselves. We struggled to get it flat and when we raised this , it was implied that it was our problem and there was no other rooms. The sofa bed had no mattress and was incredibly uncomfortable. The sofa bed is not very large and has large arms on the side. It was not really big enough for our two children to sleep on. I can’t recommend anyway staying if they have to use the sofa bed.
The hotel itself is basic and clean. The breakfast is cereal and toast and was what was expected. Apart from the bed the hotel had everything that was needed."

William Cecil
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful hotel right in the middle of Bath. Access was an issue with a stroller, as there are 4 or 5 steps to enter the hotel. The staff was kind and helpful though and the rooms were clean and updated. There is no parking on site and unloading the car was a bit of an issue."

Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa
6/10 Okay
"The “hotel” is really a series of separate buildings spread out across a large site. There is no central location to meet for drinks/ coffee. The only restaurant is at the top of a hill (accessed by steep stairways/roads ). There appeared to be some golf buggies but it was not clear how these could be accessed.
The restaurant was large and cafeteria-like, lacking in atmosphere. There was a restricted menu; no room service available (you have to collect your meal) and I was told at 4.15 that they stopped serving afternoon tea at 4pm ( which is exactly when most people would want it).
The room was clean and well decorated but it was very dimly lit and had minimal toiletries ( no shower cap/tissues). At just over £200 a night for a standard double room it was not great value."

"
Room was clean but cramped and one wall was was unpainted plywood (just unfinished not a style choice!)
Breakfast supplies in room. Fridge, kettle, toaster but nowhere to sit to eat
Shower barely worked
Hairdryer blew but no heat
Looks very neglected from outside. Dead plants in window boxes
Was in a good location and had off street parking but glad we were only staying one night.
Would not return or recommend to anyone. "
