「1901年に建てられた建物で、横浜の異人館に宿泊しているような雰囲気です。5部屋しかなく、夫婦でやれる範囲の人数しか泊めない、暖かい雰囲気のホテルでした。オークランド大学に近く、ダウンタウンも歩いて15-20分くらいです。18世紀の大きなバスタブに浸かって、19世紀のイギリスです。その雰囲気が好きな人にはたまりません。バスタブとトイレは共用という部屋もあります。朝食もご主人が自ら作り、運んでくれますし、おいしい。ロビーでは、夜他の宿泊客と楽しい会話も楽しみました。」

「We booked through Hotels.com well in advance of our visit but on arrival Bryan was not expecting us. Fortunately there was a room available. A nice continental breakfast was left out for us which was cereal, croissant, apple puffs or toast. We had a decent sized room with bathroom and toilet down the corridor. This would have been shared but there were no other residents when we stayed. The bed was very comfortable. Bryan was v. helpful and provided a list of local restaurants and take always.」

「初めてのニュージーランド、初めてのオークランド。市の中心から離れていても駅の近くの宿に泊まりたいと思い、ここを選びました。駅からは徒歩8分くらい。大きい道沿いに歩いていくだけなので、簡単です。途中、中規模のスーパーマーケットもあるので、そこで食料などを買うこともできました。 ツインルームでお願いしたので、二人で一部屋6000円しないくらい、一人当たり2800円くらいだったので、ある程度の問題は目をつぶろうと思っていましたが、予想と反して、お部屋も清潔、オーナーのKarenさんは穏やかで優しい、Karenさんが集めた調度品もかわいらしいものばかりで、素敵なおうちでした。 またオークランドに行く機会があったら、必ずKarenさんの宿に泊まりたいです！」

「After a confusing start (the property isn’t marked nor was parking, and I couldn’t find the owner,) we were shown to our studio. It was immaculate, with spare, but nice furnishings. Everything was comfortable, and the blackout shades appreciated. We found the amenities a bit lacking. No toiletries, beyond liquid soap, provided and only instant coffee. 「Charming B&B! Area is lovely (although it was raining during our stay so we didn’t get as much of a chance to enjoy the location as we would have liked… but it IS breathtaking.) On the bay, lovely walk to town … couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful spot! 「My wife and I spent two nights with Andy & Pip at the lodge at the start of our New Zealand vacation. They were great hosts, picked us up at the ferry dock, helped guide us with local transportation options (take advantage of the bus system to the local wineries) and Pip provided a wonderful breakfast that was a highlight of our visit. 「While we didn’t require provisions for disabilities, they had an excellent set-up for those that do need such. Our host was very accommodating. 」

「Location great, cleanliness great, provisions great, access great, nothing about the property could be faulted. Property owner was well prepared and friendly when we arrived, communication before arrival was excellent. The only (very very minor) request for improvement would be a light on the sign on the road, we returned at night and struggled to locate the entrance confidently in the dark. Noting this did not detract from the stay in the slightest.」

「We arrived late so really appreciated the fully stocked pantry and fridge eggs juice bread fruit and so much more. There's a few steps up to the apartment but the view is worth it. The interior has all the luxury trimmings of five star retreat clean quiet super comfortable bed and each bedroom has it's own ensuite. Our hosts Tanya and Noel were so friendly and ready to help with anything we needed. Thank you for making the last part of our trip memorable」
