I ate at the restaurant three evenings. The food was reasonably good but I feel that apart from the jam sponge and custard, the puddings were trying too hard and were too complex to sound attractive. With a private carpark, accessed via the No Through Road off Market Place, you are in a courtyard with two impressive stone Gothic Revival buildings - the old Sessions House (1841) and the matching County Hall of 1927 - which now houses the hotel.

「The staff greeted me professionally and friendly too making me feel very welcome.The room had fantastic views and the shower was fantastic and the tea/ coffee was good quality ie PG tips/Nescafé. Microwave was a real bonus. Only thing you need to do is pay attention to the warn out flooring and a small whole on grey blind. Will always stay there as great staff, fantastic rooms and excellent value for Money.」
