「Excellent hotel with superb staff and lovely food & drink」

「We had a lovely stay and the hotel is gorgeous. We loved the old style bar and the decor in the rooms. There were, however, a few flaws which would be worth mentioning considering it is not a cheap hotel. Firstly, there was only one person on reception so we were queuing for a while to check in / out and there was no visible key drop. 「We have stayed at the Petwood Hotel before, in order to join a friends party. We loved it so much that I treated us to a room overlooking the garden. It was well worth the extra money, as there was a raised area with a lovely table overlooking the gardens as well as the huge size of the room itself. The history and atmospheric quality of the hotel is superb and the local area is fabulous, especially for walks or cycling. Treat yourself to Sunday lunch if you can as a fabulous pianist called...

「Room and bathroom were spacious. Feather pillows were not my favourite and were very uncomfortable for me. Instructions for room heating would have been appreciated.」

「落ち着いたオシャレなホテルです。歴史ある建物にも関わらず、設備は完璧。清潔感のあるゴージャスな部屋でゆっくりとできました。レストランも素晴らしい。朝食もビュッフェ台から定番のジュース類やハムチーズ、シリアルを、そして、卵料理など温かいプレートの好きな物をオーダーできます。スタッフも親切でフレンドリー。肩の張らない、リラックスした時間をすごすことができました。また、訪れたいやどのひとつです。」

「We always happily seem to get the same room so although I cannot comment on any other room, room 211 has consistently been clean and comfortable. It is well appointed with a bath, which I personally love as so many hotels just squeeze in a shower. The check-in is friendly, professional and fast so it was only moments before the bags could be dumped and the reason for a visit could begin. 」
