"The room was clean and the staff was always friendly. The rooms seemed to be a little dated and many, small issues such as one (white) wall that had marks on it. We asked for a room with a fireplace. It had one but it was not operational. The place where the control switch was, was a cover plate. The fireplace, at that point, was irrelevant. Why advertise and promote something that does not work? Nice to have a box fan in the room which we used. Would be nice to have a refrigerator on a small/short stand rather than sitting on the floor. The heating element under the window was uncovered and had rust. Not sure if we used the heater that would be safe. Restaurant was good but seemed overpriced. I guess that's what convenience costs in a tiny town."

"Definitely older place. We had no view at all. Front desk guy was very nice. Our room had an odor, when I told him he came in and rewashed the floor but what we were smelling was the vinegar mixture they use to clean! Strong and stinky. He did offer us another room for the next night but it would have been the same. It was better as were in the room and opened windows. Pool was good but there was a mess of broken pool noodles all over. Should have been cleaned up. Location was great!"

"The house was very nice & comfortable. Nice views of the ocean. The kitchen had everything you need. The tide pools in walking distance were not very good. We didn’t see any living creatures in them but tide pools elsewhere within driving distance were good. We enjoyed watching the waves and beautiful sunsets."

"Booked this place for two families (4 adults/4 kids). There was plenty of space for all of us. It was nice to have some of the rooms separate from the others with a central location between the two (kitchen/living room). The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and had plenty of blankets & pillows. Daylight basement was a little off, but we didn't spend much time there. Overall, we would certainly stay here again. The views, location and proximity to trails/towns was perfect for the coast. Positives: - Number of rooms/beds- Seating- Overall Location- Views (saw some whales first day there)- Parking- Location to town- Quiet at night- Parts of the hose seemed newly renovated - All appliances workedCons:- Had some mouse visitors each night that we could hear, saw one. They were small and didn't leave a trace, but, could hear them. (Given the location and style of house, this is probably inevitable).- Kitchen items were a little lacking, few bowls and few baking items. Made it hard to cook for 8 people. - Had a terrible smell the first 24 hours, probably related to the very new septic system. Those repairing forgot to fill the p-trap in the garage bathroom which vented into the garage until we figured it out and remedied. After that, there was no longer a smell. - Upstairs carpet was pretty stained. Again, the take away is that we loved this place and would return."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Agate Point is our favorite 4th of July place to be. The perfect location in lovely Yachats. You can sit on the front deck and watch the fireworks. The place is well maintained and has had many upgrades. Katie at Ocean Odyssey is friendly and very helpful. We’ll be back again soon."

"The house and location were awesome. Close to town and the view is incredible. Kitchen was well equipped and we used the grill for dinner one night. The only issue was that both mattresses were on the softer side and the bedding overall could use a refresh. Other than that the place was great!"
