「proximity to the town centre 」

「Comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. Good food available in the evening and good selection of cereals, cheese, pastries etc for breakfast. Expedia appeared to have messed up the booking but the hotel was flexible in accommodating us and finding a room.」

「Only stayed for the night, room was big, clean and comfortable, lovely view of the river. Hotel is a lovely old building with character, staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good. 」

「Honestly while the hotel could do with some updating, it hit the most important notes. The WiFi was quick and easy to log into. The bed was comfortable and all was clean. The water pressure was good. So for the value it’s hard to find fault. Whilst it could do with more food offerings the area isn’t without options. I can recommend the Castle Bistro nearby. The food was amazing the staff were lovely. 」

「I can’t praise this hotel enough I’ve stayed all over the world in some fabulous hotels but this was outstanding. From the moment we arrived our host Pam made us more than welcome even allowing us to take part in their Burns night that they had on that evening . If you’re visiting this area and are lucky enough to get a room this has got to be the best place to stay .」

「Fabulous stay once again. I always use this hotel when in the area on business. The standards are exceptional. The room, bar area and restaurant spotless. The food is fair value and of a high standard. Great value.」

「ともかくスタッフの方々の態度とサービスが素晴らしかったです。また、朝食、夕食 共にレベルが高く、実に心地良く過ごすことができました。不満は一点だけ、部屋の 広さです。バスルームが広すぎる分、居室が狭くなっており、少々使いづらかった というのが正直な感想です。私達が泊まった部屋だけの問題かもしれませんが、 感想として記しておきます。」

「Very well kept and centralized to everything 」

「Everything sorted when we arrived. When we had a problem with cooker timer host arranged for an electrician to check asap…on a bank holiday weekend. Hosts very welcoming. Although ‘no housekeeping’ is stated this is the second time we have stayed for more than a week and sheets. And towels have been changed.」
